Outbound Supervisor – 2nd Shift

Position Overview
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Outbound Supervisor is responsible for supervision of the Outbound Department of the Southaven Logistics Center in Southaven, MS. This position supervises 10-12 hourly non-exempt employees across the assigned shift. The Outbound Supervisor’s primary responsibility is to manage the assigned shift efficiently and effectively to yield daily output targets with all safety and quality performance standards met. In addition, this role is the first line of engagement for employee relation concerns from the operational team and is responsible for overseeing the development of personnel entrusted to their leadership.
We are looking for an Outbound Supervisor – 2nd Shift. This position will be based at our Southaven, MS location (Memphis Distribution Center).
Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations, identify bottlenecks, assess labor needs, and ensure performance meets production and quality goals. Maintain accurate Time and Attendance records, provide regular feedback on performance, and enforce facility rules and guidelines, including progressive discipline. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that motivates employees, promotes teamwork, and respects diverse backgrounds. Ensure process standardization across shifts, support continuous improvement activities, and actively participate in 5S audits and performance reviews. Spend 75% of time on the floor managing process flow, supporting personnel, and addressing performance gaps using daily reports. Provide clear handoffs to oncoming shifts, including updates on WIP, inventory, 5S, and resolve team conflicts before escalating to management. Enforce safety, health, and environmental standards, and perform other duties as assigned by management.You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree Minimum 3-5 years of successful experience in a large distribution facility Extensive knowledge of SAP Microsoft Office Experience required (PPT, Excel, Word, etc.) Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or similar related field, Supply Chain Management or Logistics Management Lean certification, specifically Kaizen or 5S certifications Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environmentYou’ll benefit from:
