Our mission is to provide outpatient mental health services that help our patients learn to cope with life's challenges, while being treated with dignity and compassion.

We are seeking an LCSW/LCPC counselor to provide evidence based individual, group, family, and educational services including assessment and psychotherapy. Document clinical and consultative activities in patient electronic medical record. Participates as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team to help assure the most appropriate treatment of patients.  Works to develop and promote the programs and objectives of the department.

***The colleague hired into this role would be required to go through the provider credentialing process.  Credentialing is an in-depth review process to verify a provider’s qualifications to ensure they can provide care or services to patients for insurance billing purposes. Payer enrollment broadly entails identifying a list of the desired insurers, and providing all necessary provider data (in the format preferred by each unique payer) and can take insurance providers between 90-120 days to complete, if the colleague has not be credentialed already (timeline can be shorter for those who have already gone through the process).

This role is 40 hrs a week (M-F 8-5), no weekends, and will be focused on skills and evidence-based, goal-oriented, short-term psychotherapy (counseling) for patients of all ages.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Idaho.

One to three years of experience in a mental health setting required.

Experience in multiple therapy techniques preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Meets Health System's Core Values and Caring Standards including interpersonal communication and professional conduct expectations.

Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (Child, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric as applicable).

Conduct evaluation of patients and collaborate with healthcare team members to support the emotional, mental, environmental, bio-psychosocial, and spiritual needs of the patient and/or their family/caregivers, as applicable.

Ability to clearly document at each visit objectives, measurable goals and progress toward goals and identify the expectations of counseling with patients.

Ability to recognize when patient has achieved maximum benefit from therapy and professionally terminate care when patient is not progressing toward goals despite any needed treatment plan modifications or when patient has reached their goals.

Counsel patients and families regarding recommended levels of care, community resources and financial arrangements, as the program defines.                                      

Interventions may include but are not limited to, individual or family counseling, referral to internal and external community resources, crisis intervention, grief counseling, supportive therapy, substance abuse referral, support groups. 

Complete all patient care documentation within the standards of the Trinity Health Timely Documentation policy. 

Participates in team meetings.

Mentors students during internships, as applicable.

Participates in community meetings, as needed.

All other duties as assigned.
