Outpatient OT
Summary Provides professional patient care and occupational therapy services, including evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, and documentation. Develops individualized rehabilitation programs for medically necessary patients as prescribed by a physician. Supervises and collaborates with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) to ensure effective treatment. Maintains accurate documentation and billing in compliance with department policies, The Joint Commission, State Practice Acts, and the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). Education & Licensure + Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program: + Before 1/1/2002: Bachelor’s degree required + After 1/1/2002: Master’s degree required (preferred for international candidates) + Must obtain an Occupational Therapy license in the state of practice within 90 days of employment. + CPR certification required within 90 days. + AOTA membership preferred. + If assigned to drive, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance (if using a personal vehicle) are required. Experience & Qualifications + Clinical experience within an educational training program required; prior work experience preferred. + Must be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with 100 pounds, and push up to 300 pounds. + Strong communication skills and willingness to work at multiple locations as assigned.
