Qualifications for Physical Therapist + Education: + Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy. + Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree if graduated prior to January 1, 2016. + Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) required if graduated after January 1, 2016. + International candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy; DPT preferred. + Licensure and Certification: + Must hold or be eligible for a Physical Therapist license in the state where services will be provided. + State licensure must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment. + CPR certification required within the first 90 days of employment. + Must maintain all required certifications and licensure as per expiration dates. + Preferred Membership: + American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) membership is preferred. + Driving Requirements (if applicable): + If assigned to drive a company vehicle, a valid driver’s license is required. + If assigned to drive a personal vehicle, proof of insurance and a valid driver’s license are required. + Experience: + Clinical experience within an educational training program required. + Work experience preferred but not mandatory. + Physical Requirements: + Must be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with 100 pounds, and may need to push up to 300 pounds. + Additional Requirements: + Flexibility to work at other locations as assigned.
