Outpatient Registration Supervisor

If you would like to join us on our mission, apply today! **Position Highlights** POSITION SUMMARY: Is responsible for managing daily hospital patient registration and patient scheduling. Will take responsibility for staff selection, training, and development. This position must work collaboratively with all staff and maintain open communication with all departments in support of the patient’s experience promoting excellent customer service in a welcoming environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DETAILED DUTIES: Oversees the registration of all patients to ensure that accurate demographic and financial data is obtained to meet the needs of patients, providers, third-party payers, regulatory agencies, and RHSHC database. Coordinates customer satisfaction processes to include patient complaint processing. Assures efficient and effective patient flow. . Is responsible for the selection, orientation, and development and scheduling of registration personnel. Continually develops staff through competency assessments, in-services, continuing education and performance appraisal process. Ensures day-to-day staffing at all registration areas. Meets regularly with staff to ensure appropriate communication and address staffing, compliance, quality, and regulatory processes/issues. Maintains knowledge and skills related to RHSHC information systems including Centriq. Communicates with other fiscal departments, ancillary departments, providers and their office staff, as needed, to clarify billing discrepancies and/or to obtain medical information. Performs other responsibilities as requested by the Director of Revenue Cycle and/or Senior Administrative Team. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of medical billing and collection practices. At least 1 year Medical Office experience required, including patient types and insurance billing. Knowledge of Excel, email, and financial billing systems required.
