The Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Outreach Coordinator to work in the UHealth Campus.
Core Job Summary:
The Outreach Coordinator develops and implements public education and outreach programs. Creates, plans, prepares and implements a variety of programs to reach targeted populations. Acts as the point of contact for members of the community, promoting program awareness through marketing and advertising.
Core Responsibilities:
Plans promotional, educational, and other events to increase community awareness.Researches and prepares reports, records, and other documentation to coordinate and implement public and outreach programs.Responds to public inquiries about program(s).Trains personnel to carry out an effective public education and outreach programs.Distributes educational literature.Documents daily activities and the number of contacts reached or served through outreach initiatives.Maintains effective lines of communications with current and prospective clients to ensure program goals and objectives are met.Promotes services offered to the targeted group.Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary.
Core Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.Commitment to the University’s core values.Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
