We are seeking a dedicated Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting foster care applicants, approving kinship, and completing study assessments for certification and recertification processes. Additionally, they will assist with maintaining documentation, co-leading trainings, and preparing timely home studies. The position offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience with a reputable non-profit organization and the potential for a permanent role.

ResponsibilitiesRecruit foster care applicants by attending recruitment events throughout the inner city.Approve kinship according to ACS/OCFS established deadlines.Complete study assessments for the certification and recertification process.Gather and maintain documentation and track foster parent training, fingerprints, and medical clearances.Assist with co-leading trainings.Write and maintain timely documentation in Connections record.Prepare timely home studies of applicants for recertification.Interview foster care applicants, household members, back-up babysitters, references, and others as needed during the assessment process.Assist in providing orientation to new foster parent applicants.Perform other duties as assigned by the SVP of EFFC.Essential SkillsAbility to plan and execute recruitment strategies, including attending events and engaging with potential foster care applicants.Proficiency in conducting thorough study assessments for certification and recertification, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.Strong skills in maintaining accurate and timely documentation, including tracking foster parent training, medical clearances, and other required records.Knowledge of ACS and OCFS regulations.Additional Skills & Qualifications2+ years of foster care experience.Work Environment

The role operates in a business professional environment with a schedule of Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM, including a 1-hour lunch break (35-hour work week).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $27.88/hr.
