JOB SUMMARY:
Represent Caesars Palace Resort and Casino, by greeting arriving and departing guests enthusiastically. Transports luggage from outside areas of the hotel to the bell desk and tags luggage to make it ready for Bell Person. Provides information and directions to customers regarding all services available on property.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Acknowledges, greets and converses in English with customers who need assistance with their baggage upon arrival in Valet area. Assists arriving guests by carefully removing baggage from car and/or trunk. Must clearly and legibly write claim checks for removed baggage. Properly places all baggage removed from cars in baggage room. Must have knowledge of all services available on property to accurately and clearly communicate information to guests. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.QUALIFICATIONS:
One-year previous experience as a Baggage Handler is preferred. Must be able to lift baggage up to 150 pounds. Minimum of one year customer service experience in a previous position where the primary job duty is direct customer service is required (food server, bartender, cocktail server, change person, etc.). Must be able to converse in English with customers, give clear directions and become familiar with area events and attractions. Must have the proven ability to provide courteous, friendly and efficient service. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Must present a well-groomed appearance. Must be flexible to work varied shifts.PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Able to stand and walk for long periods of time Able to work and quickly maneuver inside and outside, sometimes in heat in excess of 115 degrees or cold in excess of 10 degrees. Able to respond to visual and aural cues. Able to speak English clearly. Able to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch and lift objects that weigh up to 100 pounds. Able to hear and speak in a loud environment. Able to work in environment with fumes and airborne particle. Able to work near moving parts.
