Description Position at MacAllister Rentals
Objective
Position duties include but are not limited to: continuously sell and rent equipment from MacAllister’s rental store fleet by calling on customers, offices and job sites.
ResponsibilitiesCalling on customers, following up with customers and work through and with peer group to call on offices and job sites to ensure customer satisfactionDevelop existing accounts and continuously prospect for new customers in order to achieve established goals and objectivesEducate customers on our products and why MacAllister is the best equipment company in this marketSet up rentals and sales and negotiate pricingTrack new construction projects and follow up with contractorsCompleting all necessary paperwork involvedStaying organized and turning in all call reports and paperworkOther related duties and projects assigned by management
Pass sales leads to appropriate sales representativeSafetyDo not violate any safety rule or policy.Enforce all personal protective equipment rules and regulations.Ensure all safety rules and policies are enforced.QualificationsKnowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through a high school education; college degree preferred.Minimum of 3 years in the equipmentsales/rental industryExcellent interpersonal skillsModerate computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office. Moderate experience using data base systems.A strong knowledge of the product and a good knowledge of the product market with a strong respect for the Caterpillar influence.The ability to uphold professionalism with both internal and external customers, including personal appearance and friendly, courteous treatment of peers, subordinates and customers.Enjoys thinking outside of the box, being innovative and willing to go the extra mile to close salesA self-starter and motivator for the department
