Job DescriptionThe Outside Sales Representative (OSR) plays a key role in fostering and expanding customer relationships by providing education, implementing strategic plans, and promoting sales initiatives that align with company objectives. The purpose of this position is to maintain and develop customer partnerships to sell ASC Steel Deck products and achieve set sales goals established by the Outside Sales Rep and Sales Manager. The OSR supports a culture of high performance, trust, sales, and business excellence that will contribute to the company's long-term success. The OSR also implements strategies to enhance financial results, maintaining continuous growth in customer accounts and service quality.
This Outside Sales Representative will cover our Arizona and New Mexico territories.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:-
Develops new sales opportunities with customers in defined channels and segments. Customer contacts for ASC Steel Deck Products. Customer contacts for ASC Deck will be Deck Sub Contractors, Steel Fabricators / Erectors and Brokers specific to the Steel Deck industry. Builds relationships with current accounts and customers in assigned territory(s).Achieve assigned sales territory objectives through steering effort to profitable products and profitable customers by maximizing promotion and sales activity.Manages entire sales process in assigned territory, including pricing, quotes, inquiries, follow up and closing of sales.Generates incremental volume in conjunction with inside and outside sales efforts, including marketing new and existing products.Quoting and project management.Review contract documents: blueprints & project specifications as required for product submittal & technical support for customers and to evaluate Value Engineering opportunities.Review all aspects of deck manufacturer, evaluation reports, catalogs and design tools as needed when comparing ASC Steel Deck products to those of our competitors. Must be able to guide customers & designers to technical answers based on all of the data available from all deck manufacturers.Partners with sales peers on open bid work to drive further development and closure.Proactively researches and assesses market trends and utilizes information to drive growth in assigned territory Utilize the CRM tool to manage, maintain and communicate lead flow activitiesTracks and reports market trends to relevant internal stakeholdersMaintains current knowledge of industry news, trends and initiatives.Maintain expense accounts, monthly highlight report.Research and resolves claims; customer site visits.Qualifications
Minimum:
A Bachelor’s or an equivalent area of specialty or a combination of education and experience or combination of experience.5+ years of experience in an outside sales or business development role is required.Experience with channel, distributor and/or corporate account sales is required.Experience in working with Architects, Designers and Engineers.Able to read and understand blueprints/project contract drawings and specificationsUnderstand the technical aspects of Deck manufacturer Evaluation reports and associated technical informationAbility to learn and understand technical Value Engineering (labor & material savings)Preferred:

Total Targeted Compensation: $100,000- $140,000 annually.
