Outside Sales Representative

Description We are seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join our team, operating within the energy and agricultural industry. Based in Dallas, Texas, this role will be primarily focused on expanding our business across the South East region through the sale of Storage Tank & Transport (STT) products and services. This role provides an opportunity for long term contract employment.
Responsibilities:
• Act as the company's primary representative in all customer-oriented sales activities, including quoting and order entry.
• Foster and strengthen relationships with customers while actively identifying opportunities for overall sales growth.
• Identify customer needs and present value-added solutions to support key decision makers and customer employees.
• Serve as the main liaison for the company within the assigned territory, building commercial relationships with key customer personnel and functional leaders.
• Monitor market conditions to drive data-informed decisions leading to growth in market share and customer value add within the assigned market.
• Participate in customer visits, trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to represent and grow our brand.
• Assist customers with purchasing activities, inventory projections, market analysis, and current lead times.
• Coordinate and communicate order status updates to customers while working closely with manufacturing, operations, and distribution/logistics teams.
• Analyze key customer purchasing trends in the territory to maintain target to forecast and overall business monthly/quarterly/annual goals.
• Develop actionable strategies to overcome individual gaps in sales.
• Maintain a strong understanding of core products and competitive intel to aid in the creation of actionable plans leading to the success of commercial goals.
• Manage the development of customer pipeline. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Outside Sales Representative role or similar
• Proven track record in customer service and sales
• Demonstrable ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong negotiation skills with a problem-solving attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in using customer relationship management software
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and sales presentations
• High school diploma; Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or relevant field is a plus
