The Overdraft Services Clerk I is responsible for providing administrative and customer service support in the processing of requests and tasks related to overdraft services functions such as take charge agreements, charge off settlement forms, privilege pay requests, and account chargebacks.
Key Responsibilities:
·Answers general department phone extension and monitors assigned functional inboxes in order to provide customer service support to Branch personnel and customers on overdraft services related questions, requests and inquiries.
·Reviews, balances and processes assigned department reports, lists and spreadsheets.
·Processes incoming forms and requests; reviews paperwork for accuracy, determines if the account qualifies for requested actions and updates appropriate banking systems.
·Performs other job related duties or special projects as assigned.
Competencies Required
·Proficiency with 10 key by touch and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint portal sites), and the ability to quickly learn and navigate banking software applications and systems (Bancline, TellerPlus, Mozart).
·Excellent organizational and data entry skills, with the ability to multi-task, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines in a fast paced, high volume environment.
·Customer service orientation with effective problem solving abilities and strong analytical skills.
·Self starter possessing the ability to work independently while supporting a team environment.
·Ability to follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures and guidelines.
·Ability to work flexible hours; demonstrated good attendance and punctuality.
·Strong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy.
·Working knowledge of banking policies and procedures related to privilege pay, charge offs settlements, take charge agreements, bankruptcy and account chargebacks.
·Ability to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external parties.
