**Overhead Door Technician** **Job Description** As a technician, you will be responsible for servicing approximately 50-75 clients in the Central KY area. Your primary duties will include installing, troubleshooting, and repairing overhead doors and loading docks for commercial and industrial customers. This role involves traveling to various site locations in a company truck. You will not be driving during the first 90 days but must be able to pass a driving check for DOT. Typical work hours are from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with the requirement to work at least one Saturday per month and occasional Sundays. **Responsibilities** + Evaluate faulty equipment and perform tasks necessary to ensure proper operation. + Maintain records of all service work and repairs performed within the electronic service record. + Work with the Operations Manager to maximize labor revenue and efficiency. + Maintain a clean driving record and drive safely from customer to customer. + Communicate with the parts and sales departments to ensure customer needs are met in a timely manner. + Perform work in a variety of environments. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills. + Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (motor controls, 480V) for commercial/industrial settings. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to interact with clients and represent the company positively. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Previous service work experience is ideal. + Preferred experience with overhead door and/or loading dock service. + Looking for someone with lead experience. **Why Work Here?** You will be joining a family-oriented company that values work-life balance and offers a supportive work environment.
