Job Title: Lab Chemist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lab Chemist with experience in wet chemistry techniques, sample collection and analysis, and gas chromatography. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in the sciences, preferably in Chemistry, and be comfortable working with both hazardous and non-hazardous materials.

ResponsibilitiesPerform sample analysis in a lab, handling about 20 samples within a 12-hour time spanCollect and analyze chemical samples, coordinating their departure from the facility after analysisConduct wet chemistry techniques and gas chromatographyRecycle solvents, focusing on flammable but non-hazardous materialsCalibrate laboratory instrumentsProduce Certificates of Analysis (COAs)Review orders and release materials on trucks, after gaining experience in the roleEssential SkillsProficiency in wet chemistry techniques, especially pH measurementDegree in the sciences (Bachelors or Associates in Chemistry preferred)Experience in sample collection and analysisExposure to or experience with gas chromatography (academic research experience acceptable)Strong organizational and time management skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in the environmental industry or with direct competitorsComfortable working with hazardous and non-hazardous materialsUnderstanding of BTU (British Thermal Unit) preferredKnowledge of laboratory best practices, quality control, KF, UV-Vis, viscosity, pH, GC, chemical titration, and environmental testing1-2 years of experience in a lab environment (academic experience is acceptable)
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00
