Overnight Shop Supervisor
The Shop Foreman will work closely with all members of the Fleet Maintenance division to oversee and assist with the day-to-day supervising, direct, coordinating employees’ performance, maintenance, service, and repair of the diverse processing equipment within GFL’s fleet.
The Shop Foreman must be dependable, enthusiastic, organized, and capable of consistently performing to meet established standards and deadlines

What you'll do:

Supervise and manage service and repair personnel: Assign tasks, direct activities, follow up on ongoing repairs, perform repairs as needed, and appraise performance. Confer with the Maintenance Manager/General Manager to coordinate the release of equipment for inspection, service, or repair.

Plan, schedule, and procure repairs: Utilize TMW planner for repair scheduling, procure all necessary parts, and oversee the tire program including attending tire scrap outs. Manage monthly POs, reconcile TMW with the Corporate Purchasing Card, and handle month-end close with EOM reports and inventory integrity.

Authorize and arrange purchases: Oversee the purchase of supplies, tools, uniforms, machinery, and contracts for external repair services with approval from the Maintenance Manager/General Manager.

Maintain records and investigate incidents:  Keep detailed vehicle inspection, maintenance, and safety records as required by regulatory and company policies. Investigate and assess damage to vehicles or property from accidents.

What's required:

• Valid driver’s license
• 2+ years of truck mechanic experience
• 1+ year supervisory experience preferred
