**VCA Northview** **Animal Hospital** is seeking an enthusiastic veterinary technician to join our **Overnight** care team full time! Our hospital includes Surgery, Internal Medicine, the full circle support of General Practice and Wellness care, as well as Rehabilitation patients. **Overnight Veterinary Technician Duties:** + Ensure hospitalized patients are provided gold standard medical care + Recognize normal and abnormal vitals and respond appropriately + Proficiency with medical math to ensure correct dosages + Venipuncture / IVC placement when needed + Able to stay on task and work independently + Keeping an open and collaborative line of communication flowing by rounding with the daytime team to ensure smooth transition of cases + Participation in monthly technician meetings that allows time for collaboration, team building, and new protocol reviews + Providing compassionate care for all patients **Potential Schedule:** Full-time Tue-Thur 7pm-7am, with future potential to move to Mon-Thur four 10 hour shifts. **The Culture at VCA Northview** We are passionate about our team’s health and wellness and continue to foster a culture where asking questions is welcome, and training is the expectation. **We are committed to equity, inclusion, and diversity** , and strive to be a place where a talented mix of people want to come, stay, and do their best work.
