Job Description The Opportunity:
Faststream Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading German maritime company in their search for a highly skilled Owner's Representative. This pivotal role will oversee the successful delivery of a tanker project in China, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and compliance are met.
  
Key Responsibilities:
Represent the owner's interests throughout the project lifecycle. Supervise construction, design, and operational processes at the shipyard. Liaise effectively between the shipyard, design teams, and the owner to ensure alignment on project goals. Monitor timelines, quality control, and budget adherence. Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and industry standards. Provide regular updates and detailed reports to the client in Germany.   
Candidate Requirements:
Extensive senior-level project experience within the tanker industry. Proven track record in managing large-scale shipbuilding or retrofitting projects, particularly in China. Deep understanding of tanker construction, systems, and compliance requirements. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work across cultures and time zones. Willingness to be based in China for the project duration, with periodic travel as required. Fluent English; German and/or Mandarin is a plus.
