Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, our Defense Systems Sector wants you to join our Team as an Industrial Engineer. This position is located in Lake Charles, LA.

You will support our P-3 program at our Depot location. P-3 is a Customs and Border Protection program under the Department of Homeland Security. You will use your experience to support the Depot in successfully providing service for this critical program.

Your duties include:

Advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed

Create, maintain, and update status on Master Production Schedules in support of the P-3 program

Export schedule data and working with responsible parties to gather and report schedule status and labor charging to customers on a bi-weekly reporting cycle

Analyze and identify schedule critical and driving path

Use shop floor MES systems to align program schedules with the manufacturing/production system

Work with operations management to develop over and above document estimates

Evaluate project performance using the theory of constraints

Conduct studies pertaining to performance control, cost reduction, and schedule status

Basic Qualifications:

A Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering or similar and a minimum of 2 years of direct relevant experience; 0 Years with Masters in IE or related discipline

Demonstrated ability/proficiency with MS-Office, Excel & MS Project

Ability to make decisions that impact the organization’s credibility, operations and services

Ability to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result

Able to work in both external and internal environmental conditions

Ability to obtain/maintain the required Dept of Homeland Security SSBI Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of CPM (Critical Path Method) Scheduling

Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) performance measurement techniques

A current Secret Clearance.

Salary Range: $68,500.00 - $102,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
