We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our People & Organisation (P&O) team. You will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making by analysing data from various P&O operational and finance IT systems to create transparency and provide data-driven insights that generate significant business impact! We're looking for someone thats proactive, self-starting, and able to work autonomously, supporting colleagues with their data analysis, developing corresponding analyses, and finding effective solutions that can be swiftly translated into actionable steps ("connecting the dots").
The role will be site based in a Siemens location in Hebburn, Manchester or Farnborough with occasional UK travel to other Siemens Sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Collection and Analysis:
Collect, analyse, and interpret complex people data and workforce metrics from a range of dashboards and system sources.Develop and maintain databases, data systems, and data reports, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of information.Workforce Transformation
Assist our P&O Business Partners in creating strategic workforce plans by providing data-based insights into recruitment, engagement, retention, and performanceReporting and Visualisation:
Create and present reports for senior management, using a range of tools available, to support our P&O leadership team to effectively communicate trends and predictions in people behaviour and needs.Develop dashboards and visualisations to make data insights understandable, accessible and actionable for stakeholders.Data Analytics and Reporting for Strategic Projects/Activities:
Work closely with P&O project leads to surface data insights/hypotheses that support decision making for strategic/priority people projectsParticipate in decisions regarding tools and platforms for data storage, processing, analysis, visualisation, and utilisationSupport projects and employee survey activities.Compliance and Data Privacy:
Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practicesLead & advise on data integrity and accuracy.Trend Analysis and Proactive Evaluation:
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in people analytics and data analysis toolsProactively evaluate developments in the field of people metrics to keep the organisation ahead of trends.KPI Identification and Evolution
Analyse business processes within the organisation to identify suitable metricsAlign with Global standards for monthly, quarterly, and annual P&O metrics, which can be tailored by business partners during review meetings.Training, Support & Community building:
Provide training and support on people analytics concepts and tools to support the upskilling of our team on data utilisation/manipulation.Contribute as an individual in a team of P&O professionals at the same time as joining a Siemens global network of people data analytics specialists.Your Profile for "Making the Future Possible":
A degree in business informatics, business studies with a focus on Data Science, or a comparable qualification.Good attention to detail and be highly skilled at extracting, manipulating, interpreting and providing context to large data sets from a variety of sources.Proactive and able to work autonomously.A great communicator with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences, using PowerPoint as a preferred method of presentation.Excellent collaboration skills working with multiple teams both locally and globally to build relationships quicklyExperience with BI & Data Analytics projects, using tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Qlik.Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure and architecture for Data Analytics applications, such as Data Warehousing and ETL.Initial experience with Machine Learning and working with Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT.Strong IT affinity and practical experience with agile working methods.What can we offer?
