This position is located at ATC's Main Campus, located in the heart of Atlanta. Under the supervision of the Dept. Chair of Academic Success, the tutor will provide tutoring and academic support to all currently enrolled Atlanta Technical College students seeking, or otherwise desiring tutorial assistance in math. This assistance will occur mainly in the following courses: + MATH 1111(College Algebra) + MATH 1012(Foundations of Math), and Learning Support mathematics as well. Job Duties include: + Math tutors are required to attend/participate in all meetings arranged by the Dept. Chair of Academic Success unless deemed unnecessary by the Dept. Chair; + Light technical support may also be required; + All P/T tutors are subject to a maximum of 19.5 hours weekly; + Must have excellent customer service skills; + Excellent computer skills; + Be able to work remotely from home. Minimum Requirements: · Current technical college student with an overall GPA of 3.0 and a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the subject area to be tutored *or* external applicant that demonstrates the ability and experience in the subject field. Preferred Requirements Bachelor degree is preferred, but not necessary. All applicants will have to present copies of all transcripts and clearly demonstrate a mastery of Mathematical concepts and techniques via grade reports.
