Job Responsibilities:

Location: Montezuma, Iowa

Summary:  The P2001 Operator will operate P2001 stamping press to produce quality parts to meet production expectations.

Job Responsibilities: The following duties are normal for this position.  These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive.  Other duties may be assigned and required.

Participate in station rotations, including machine operation, die setting, loading of coils, destacker operations, feeder operations and part packagingPerform complete die sets per set up books and complete related paperwork accuratelyPerform operator machine maintenance checklist as directed by the SupervisorPerform die or press corrections when applicable or contact leader/proper support personnelAssist in training new operators on basic machine operations and quality inspectionsResponsible for quality of the parts produced and report any nonconforming parts to Quality and Supervisor immediatelyTrouble shoot all operations of equipment and report any machine or tooling problems to the Supervisor immediatelyRecommend proposals for improving products, processes, systems, productivity and work environment through the Continuous Improvement ProcessMaintain positive working relationships with fellow employees and keep other employees advised of conditions within the work areaComplete scheduled work and tasks within time allottedReview previous shift logs for operations problemsRecord production data as appropriate to include classifying FunnelCloud downtime, pre-shift forklift and crane inspectionsFollow and support Magna Body & Chassis Iowa’s and Magna’s operating principlesSupport efforts to achieve department and plant goals on Employee Opinion Survey

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Forklift and crane certifiedAbility to work with minimal directionBasic SPC knowledge preferred

Physical Demands:

Per functional job descriptionInvolves lifting 40 lbs occasionally and 5 to 15 lbs frequently
