About the Team

The PACCAR Product Quality Audit (PPQA) program is a detailed quality audit check performed on selected vehicles at all PACCAR manufacturing sites.  The program’s objective is to ensure that PACCAR sites continue to meet and exceed customer quality expectations for delivered product quality.  The PPQA is a function of the product quality audit team and reports directly to PACCAR Quality. 

 

 

Requisition Summary 

The PPQA auditors travel globally to perform audits at all PACCAR truck plants. Additionally, they calibrate, validate and mentor PQI auditors at the junior and senior levels. The individual selected must be able to travel worldwide. This is a 5-year rotational role that presents an excellent opportunity to become an expert in PACCAR’s three truck brands while building valuable relationships across the globe. Job Functions / Responsibilities  Perform product quality audits at truck and engine manufacturing sites including formal documentation and report out to senior management. Resolve conflicts on PQI/PPQA standards interpretations and scoring. Evaluate and respond to proposed changes on Corporate Standards and their impact to PQI/PPQA. Research customer and dealer concerns for enhancing the product quality audit process. Conduct auditor calibrations and administer certification tests. Provide guidance on PQI standards to plant PQI auditors. Assist with development of product quality manuals and customer/dealer integration enhancements. Respond to deviation requests including documentation for approvals and rejections. Update and maintain EWI. Organize annual global PPQA conference. Assist with implementation of new Quality Programs.

 

 

Qualifications & Skills

 

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field. Proven ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to deal effectively with conflict and accept constructive criticism. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have a minimum three to five years’ experience working with heavy-duty trucks, preferably with PACCAR products. Trained as Six Sigma Green Belt, preferably Black Belt. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time including internationally.

 

Preferred:

Certified Senior PQI Auditor. Must be able to read blueprints and specifications. Class 8 operators’ license desired.  (Must have the ability to obtain one in a reasonable amount of time.) Solid knowledge of Excel (Macro’s, calculations, cross references, etc.) and PowerPoint Second language preferred (French, Spanish, Portuguese or Dutch)
