Package Room Clerk Seasonal
Responsibilities

The Seasonal Mailroom / Package Room Clerk, under the supervision of the Mailroom Supervisor, is responsible for maintaining the package room in a neat and orderly manner. The Clerk is to coordinate the acceptance and distribution of packages to the residents and different departments of Manhattan Plaza.

 

Compensation:

$19.00 - 20.00 / hour

This range is provided as a general guideline and reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary depending on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, geographical location, and the specific responsibilities of the role. In addition to salary, this position may be eligible for performance bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

 

Final compensation offers will be determined following a thorough assessment of the candidate’s background and the requirements of the position.

 

Daily responsibilities of the Mailroom / Package Room Clerk include: 

Receiving and distributing packages from United Parcel Service and the United States Postal Service on a daily basis to residents and operations and managementScanning into property software, sorting and shelving the packagesMaintaining the package room clean and organized on a daily basisProviding the supervisor with weekly tally of daily tasks assignedExhibit exceptional customer service skillsOther duties as required by your supervisor

Manhattan Plaza consists of two 46-story high-rise towers and various townhomes totalling 1,689 residential units of federally-subsidized housing.   Encompassing a full city block, the property also includes street level retail, a parking garage and fitness center.   The property is centrally located at 400 West 43rd Street, just west of Times Square. Qualifications

Mailroom Clerk Qualifications:

Must be available to work November 1st - January 30th during the schedule listed below Prior residential package room experience preferred Must be a team player and be able to work with little supervisionExcellent time management skills and work ethic neededUnderstanding of computers/technologyCustomer service skills Must able to lift 50LBS and stand for 8 hours Alternating weekend scheduling of assigned work will be determined at the discretion of the supervisorThe schedule may be changed by supervisor based on job need SATURDAYS are a MUST and overtime may be required
