Role

 

This position is responsible for working closely with the Packaging Manager and NPD project leaders to implement the introduction of new packages and changes from beginning to end. The specific responsibilities include, however, are not restricted to the following

Support with the development and approving of technical specifications for our packaging components in Canada and USA.Modifying or developing artwork if required to expedite projects.Issuing and controlling the UPC & SCC codes for the Ready to Drink products in Pernod Ricard.Set up new part numbers and BOM in Business and Specification systemsThis role will require a high attention to details to ensure accuracy with suppliers, design agencies and production facilities.

Our productsOur packagingGovernment regulations in Canada and the USProduction plant equipment requirements.Supplier capabilities.Business MRP system: JD Edwards, Intellapac

 

To perform the role efficiently, the candidate will need to liaise with all areas within Pernod Ricard, for both Canada and the US such as operations, marketing, purchasing, NPD, brand owners, co-packers and suppliers.

 

The candidate will be able to support the following:

50+ SKU’s10+ suppliers.2 marketing groups and 2 production facilities.

 

This position will act with honesty and complete transparency in an ethical and respectful manner with colleagues and suppliers to ensure the quality, security, respect for the environment, and interests of Pernod Ricard in all business undertakings.

 

Accountabilities

Support all packaging artwork and specifications prior to supplier production.Support Packaging Manager in all components of packaging implementation.Develop, maintain and issue packaging specifications accurately to Canadian and US suppliers and operations.Problem solve and improve packaging specifications and process.Issuing and maintaining UPC/SCC codes.

 

Education

Technical/Engineering Degree -packaging related experience is preferred.

 

Experience / Background

Communicate well both verbally and in writing.Attention to details.Keep appropriate individuals informed, has good listening skills.Demonstrated ability to translate, communicate and monitor technical specifications between the business and vendors.Industry expertise in Wine & Spirits or Food & Beverage preferred.Project management skills and multi-tasking.
