Incentives:

Pay Rate: $17.83 per hour Paid Weekly12-Hour Rotating Shifts with EVERY OTHER WEEKEND OFFDay Shift Hours: 7AM-7PM

Requirements of Packer Position:

At least 6 months previous fast-paced manufacturing experience and the ability to work a 12 hour shift is requiredPerforms quality checks and ensures correct counts on various product sizes and packs into the appropriate packaging.Responsible for maintaining the equipment in an operational state.Responsible for operating and troubleshooting wrappers.Identify and escalate quality issues as they arise.Ensure that any finished goods or work in progress identification labels are present and placed in the correct position.Stacks finished product in correct configuration, ready for transportation.Responsible for ensuring housekeeping and safety practices.Complete all necessary forms as required.Work as a team member.

Responsibilities

Summary: Packer safely and effectively packs finished goods and prepares product for shipment.

 

 

Responsibilities of a Packer: 

Packers provides support for the operations team by working safely to feed material into machines, inspect product for defects and pack finished goods in correct configuration in a manufacturing setting / warehouse environment.Performs quality checks and ensures correct counts on various product sizes and packs into the appropriate packaging.Makes minor machine adjustments to minimize interruptions and ensure quality product.Replacement of adhesive tape in hand tapers and automatic sealing machinery.Ensure that any finished goods or work in progress identification labels are present and placed in the correct position.Stacks finished product in correct configuration, ready for transportation.Responsible for ensuring good housekeeping, and that area(s) of responsibility are safe, clean and tidy.Promptly inform supervisor of any issues concerning health and safety, hygiene, quality and efficiencies.Follows all Company established rules and policies; Adheres to all Safety rules and regulations.Completes paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.

 

Qualifications:

Previous packer experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is highly preferredAbility to work with others effectively as a part of a team is essential.Ability to follow standard work instructions is required.

Physical Demand/Effort:   

Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and clothing, when required, such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat/bump cap, hair/beard net and gloves Ability to stand, walk, twist, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, bend throughout the duration of the scheduled shift Prolonged standing while performing the duties of the job Job requires high level of manual dexterity with repetitive use of hands, shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, and ankles
