As a Packaging Consultant, you will be instrumental in optimizing packaging specifications and portfolios for BASF group companies and business units in North America, ensuring compliance with international regulations and local laws. You will collaborate with various departments and internal and external stakeholders to drive sustainability and enhance packaging quality and cost-effectiveness.
As a Packaging Consultant, you create chemistry by...Planning, organizing, and scheduling the implementation of packaging specifications and portfolio optimization in North America, ensuring consistency and adherence to BASF global standards.Providing clear, supplier-independent packaging specifications (BASPACK) to be included in regional or global contracts with suppliers.Offering supervision, guidance, and training to business units, group companies, and procurement hubs in the region regarding the selection of optimal packaging to ensure safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.Communicating actively with various stakeholders, including global and regional packaging procurement, business units, supply chain and logistics, and regional transportation and distribution safety, regarding all packaging-related topics.Monitoring the market for relevant packaging technology developments through data analysis and regular communication with suppliers and other external parties.Establishing KPIs and following up on the improvement plans of packaging suppliers, addressing non-conformities and ensuring adherence to BASF requirements, including quality, quantity, and service response.If you...
Have a degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field, along with a strong IT backgroundPossess experience in packaging, technical knowledge, international transportation regulations, and chemical product safety informationDemonstrate project management skills from concept through implementation, including stakeholder managementExhibit strong analytical, problem-solving, consulting, and communication skillsHave basic business acumen to understand the interplay between technical and business topics, with an entrepreneurial spirit to drive savings initiativesPossess excellent English and local language skillsCreate your own chemistry with you@BASF
