A Day In The Life:

Lead packaging craft projects for the Laboratory Products Division.Craft, test, and analyze materials for new packaging while identifying improvement opportunities for existing packaging.Collaborate with various manufacturing facilities, address quality issues, conduct industry-standard distribution tests, and drive project implementation.Engage with suppliers to optimize packaging for customer experience, quality, and cost efficiency.Lead packaging projects from conception to implementation, focusing on balanced solutions.Develop and use engineering design guides and standards for common design elements.Design product labels to customer requirements using standard templates and Bartender software.

Education

Degree in packaging engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related engineering field, or equivalent experience.

Experience

3+ years of industry-related experience.Experience with leading packaging equipment process qualifications (IQ, OQ, PQ).Knowledge of design and test standards (ISTA, ASTM, etc.).Experience in a regulated industry with knowledge of sterile barrier packaging and sterilization processes.Structural engineering analysis of new packaging designs.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Understanding of low particulate and low bioburden medical device packaging.Self-starter with the ability to work efficiently and independently.Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks.Strong documentation, planning, and social skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.Solidworks (CAD), ArtiosCAD, CAPE (pallet layout) and SAP (ERP) experience.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

Must be able to handle standard office and lab equipment.Ability to lift and move packaging materials as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $83,300.00–$125,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
