Responsibilities

Position Overview 

Join our 10-week program in our Research & Development Packaging team to gain an understanding of the department's initiatives by working in a laboratory, pilot plant and manufacturing scale environments. Projects could include but are not limited to validating packaging performance by lab and plant line trials, creating databases for package tests, uploading packaging specifications into the Specright platform, and conducting small tests, analyzing, and evaluating data and formulate conclusions.  Responsible for positively impacting Bob Evan’s business and consumers by completing challenging and meaningful projects.  Demonstrate our core values: Put Safety First, Win Together, Do the Right Thing, Be Courageous and Drive for Results.  

 

Accountabilities  

Gather packaging specifications and manage database for storage and maintenance.Create, organize and maintain pallet patterns via TOPS software.  Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify packaging solutions, recommend technical solutions to successful commercialization, and troubleshoot existing packaging.   Coordinate packaging samples for internal and external needs.   Analyze design/data components and incorporate business needs into technical judgements.    Analyze design/data components.   Manage multiple assignments/ tasks. Travel to multiple BEF plants/locations.  
Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. Strong written and oral communication, collaboration skills and business presence. Working knowledge of CAPE or TOPS palletization software.  Ability to analyze technical packaging drawings and specifications.  Demonstrate sound judgment and ability to apply logical/critical thought processes when developing solutions.  A strong interest in the CPG industry, a plus.
