In this position... 

Packaging Engineering is seeking an Engineering Supervisor for North America. Qualified and desirable candidates will be comfortable with change and cross-functional challenges, excellent team players, and enthusiastic about best-in-world design solutions, new materials, and new methods.  

You'll have... 

Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Packaging Science, or Supply Chain/Logistics Ability to learn rapidly, adapt to change, and help others do the same A high-agency mindset, resilience, and ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations Capable of managing multiple workstreams, competing priorities, and aggressive timelines Superb written and verbal communication skills

Even better, you may have...

Prior Material Flow Engineering experience, plant experience, or logistics experience is desirable Basic familiarity and/or experience with 3D CAD/PLM software is beneficial

This position is a range of salary grades 7 and 8.

What you'll do...

Lead a team of engineers to design, test, procure, deploy, maintain, and improve Ford packaging assets Aggressively identify and execute inbound freight cost savings through improved pack densities Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve launch issues and current model quality issues in the field  Work extensively with Material Flow Engineering, Material Logistics, Global Manufacturing, Product Development, Purchasing, etc. to achieve lowest cost solutions Work as a team with Material Flow Engineering to achieve overall MF&PE objectives (Fork Free, complexity reduction, automation, etc.) Mentor and develop direct reports to foster leadership, teamwork, technical ability, effective communication, and diverse perspectives Interface and present to all levels of company leadership
