Packaging Equipment Engineer
As a Packaging Equipment Engineer, you will focus on driving packaging equipment solutions. You will lead the effort to define scope, create the equipment specifications, gain alignment, and support the plants in commercializing a wide range of Salty products such as Pringles, Cheez-it & Club Cracker, and packaging forms using key equipment technologies. Get ready to help accelerate the company’s growth by developing and implementing packaging systems with the Kellanova North American Engineering team. In this role, you can work from our Battle Creek, Michigan, or Chicago, Illinois, headquarters or any major plant locations: Jackson, Tennessee; Cary, North Carolina; or Kansas City, Kansas. This role will require 25-50% travel time, and international travel may be required. A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing + Driving Value Creation — Drive Technical solutions for Innovation and Supply Chain initiatives through the delivery of cost-effective, high-quality scope definitions and equipment specifications through effective team collaboration and alignment. + Network and Technology Support – Support our supply chain through innovative thinking skills to provide technical solutions and troubleshooting for new and existing products and equipment. Lead the discovery, evaluation, and advancement of packaging equipment and new technologies. Leverage technical skills to improve margins and deliver business results. + Leading with a Consumer Focus – Demonstrate technical and business leadership within cross-functional teams while supporting the company philosophy and direction. Engage with internal customers, Global Technology Owners, and Subject Matter Experts in the evaluation to provide the best technical solution to meet customer and consumer needs. We’re Looking for Someone With + Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 5 years of related work experience. + Promote good manufacturing practices and hygienic equipment design. + Capable of specifying scales, baggers, flow wrappers, cartons, case packers, and palletizers based on product mass balance and production rates required. + Understand machine and people safety requirements. + Execute capital packaging projects with other technical disciplines effectively to accomplish objectives despite demanding schedules. + Create working relationships with other Engineering functions, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Marketing, Sales and Suppliers. + Demonstrate effective communication skills to convey complex and detailed information to a wide range of individuals and audiences with different knowledge levels. Compensation The annual salary range is $100,600 - $132,585, which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill.
