Overview The Packaging Graphics Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of new and updated packaging graphics. This includes approval of print runs for new items, ongoing oversight of supplier print quality, management of the graphics artwork process, and maintenance of the “Artwork Management” software used for graphics routing and artwork file management. This person will maintain relationships between the software provider and Marzetti IT and will advise on software enhancements, will facilitate software updates, and ensure business continuity during updates. This role will have direct reports that assist in managing the artwork process across the entire business. Responsibilities Ensure completion of project requirements in the execution of printed packaging graphics, coordinating with graphic designers, printers, project managers, brand owners, and other team members as needed. Provide technical guidance on packaging materials, printing techniques, and production processes. Maintain knowledge of advancements in printing technologies to inform design and graphic execution decisions. Review and approve print proofs to ensure accuracy in all print specifications. Create and maintain process documents to communicate an understanding of the process and timing for artwork development during projects. Facilitate graphics calls between the designers, printers, and brand management at the onset of a graphics project. Grant access to all users and trouble shoot software issues with IT and software provider when necessary. Manager of the Graphics Packaging Coordinator by training the day-to-day job duties and giving feedback to aid in career development. Utilize Artwork Management software for centralized storage and cross-functional access to approved packaging graphics. Lead training for all internal and external cross-functional partners on artwork management software. Identifies, recommends, and implements opportunities for process improvement. Manage and oversee team members inclusive of recruiting, training, onboarding, and developing direct reports. Qualifications 5+ years of relevant experience in graphics production management, preferably in a CPG/food company. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. Strong understanding of graphic design principles and production processes. Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and production tools. Previous people management or supervisory experience strongly preferred. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
