Job Title: Packaging Lab Technician
Location: Princeton, NJ
Hours / Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, onsite
Type: Contract - 12 months
Responsibilities
Support Packing Testing: Adhere to established test methods and procedures Accurately measure various products and components Meticulously record data in lab notebooks and excel Utilize software for operational tasks Effectively communicate information to the cross functional team in a timely manner Manage tasks and prioritize objectives Work independently to assist in the qualification of new packaging components within the Packaging Department. Requirements High School Diploma AND 2+ years of industry lab experience OR Associates degree / BS Degree Minimum educational qualifications include high school coursework in Chemistry and Physics 1 & 2. Any lab prior experience would be useful (basics of understanding instrumentation) - but not required Would prefer someone on the more physical science side and less chemistry if possible Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs Ability to use computer software (Microsoft suite) Soft Skills: Strong work ethic, ability to pivot/multitask, Reliable, Ability to take initiative and ask question Proficient in Excel and technical measurements, with the ability to learn basic software and operate computer-based lab testing equipment. Possesses strong communication skills for effective interaction with Packaging Engineers, cross-functional teams, and suppliers. Demonstrates the ability to work independently, manage project priorities, and handle 40-lb packages for testing purposes. Exhibits good mechanical skills and a solid understanding of the scientific method. Benefits
