Packaging Line Operator/Technician

The Role

We are currently looking for an experienced Packaging Line Operator/Technician (Arodo Line) with strong production and technical skills.  The Packaging Line Operator/Technician is responsible to safely and efficiently maintain and operate the Arodo packaging line and palletizer equipment.  The Arodo Mechanic and Operator will also be operating and troubleshooting, as needed, on the Arodo Packaging machinery and operating the Palletizer Machinery on a daily basis to support the manufacturing productions operations. This is a senior level operator role with strong growth opportunities within the operations team.

Responsible to safely and efficiently maintain and operate the Arodo packaging line and palletizers Maintain high-efficiency operations and monitor plant manufacturing controls, gauges and instruments Responsible for preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment Document and create work orders for repair in maintenance information system Responsible for managing computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and updating assigned work orders Responsible for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs Maintain correct weight and quality of the bags produced. Perform Durometer tests on bags for hardness and vacuum. Complete paperwork and reports as needed; downtime log, used parts log, shift log book Assist in training new operators. Perform other duties as required. 

Position Specific Details:

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you should be willing to get your hands dirty a bit. Must have a minimum of a high school degree or GED equivalent 3 or more years of process manufacturing experience operating machinery, preferred Experience troubleshooting equipment is helpful. Have the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. independently; and up to 100 lbs. with assistance. You must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be available for overtime as needed and able to accommodate the designated shift hours as assigned in the offer: 1st shift (7am to 3:30pm), 2nd shift (3pm to 11:30pm) and 3rd shift (11pm to 7:30am)
