About the role:

As the Packaging Operations Lead, you will oversee Takeda’s global Small Molecule & Oncology external supply portfolio, managing CMOs worldwide. You will support internal packaging as needed and ensure product quality and harmonize packaging components with the Global Packaging Engineering team across all sites. You will report into the Head of CMOs Packaging Engineering.

How you will contribute:Manage the qualification of primary, secondary and tertiary packaging components for OESSM throughout their commercial lifecycleManage CMO’s and their mechanisms of packaging processes, equipment qualifications and continuous improvement projectsDevelop, specify, test, qualify and implement packaging projects at external and internal packaging sites.Tactical responsibilities include leading in package trial qualifications, project start-ups (FATs/SATs), resolving manufacturing issues and optimizing packaging operations (automated, semi-automated and manual processes), continuous improvement, validating CPPs, managing component technical profile drawings, validation related documents and maintaining commercial packaging / product integrityLead change control, non-conformances and CAPA activities working with the CMO (Contract Manufacturing Organization) and internal external supply teamsManage implementation of platform (harmonization / standardization) componentsManage all technical profile drawings affecting bill of materials and artwork developmentFacilitate template inclusion of regulatory (serialization)and global corporate standard labeling requirements (i.e. authentication)Manage process, yield and cost optimizations for portfolio productsManage KPI’s for assigned CMO’s on packaging compliance, deliverables and effectivity of process improvementsMinimum Requirements/Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in packaging engineering or mechanical engineeringMinimum 5 years’ experience commercial product packaging in government regulated industryStrong technical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skillsAgility in applying techniques from experience to areas in role for the Biopharmaceutical industryMore about us:

USA - MA - Hayden - 45-55

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$108,500.00 - $170,500.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
