Location Description The Lawrence, Kansas facility is 236,000 square feet and home to about 155 hard working team members who are proud to produce iconic pet food brands like Kibbles 'n Bits®. Lawrence is a college town and the home to both the University of Kansas and Haskell Indian Nations University with Kansas State University about 85 miles away. The city is known for a thriving music and art scene and is also the home of the University of Kansas athletic teams. Responsibilities Packaging Operator Starting rate: $24.44 per hour The Post Consumer Brands facility in Lawrence, KS operates on a 24/7 production schedule. Team members will work: B Shift - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and every other Friday 6:00pm-6:00am Shift differential starting at $0.50 per hour Responsibilities In the Packaging Operator role, you will: Operate and maintain packaging equipment to optimize efficiency and to reduce/eliminate downtime Perform reliablity tests on equipment such as metal detectors and scales for food safety and quality assurance Perform accurate, timely collection of data and product samples Maintain a clean, sanitary and orderly work area to ensure employee and food safety Qualifications Possess a high school diploma or a GED Ability to comply with a strict attendance policy Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Ability and willingness to communicate with cross functional teams Experience in food manufacturing preferred
