Summary: The Packaging Technician Lead position is responsible for the continuous and “trouble free” running of all equipment incorporated within the Cup Pack out processing department. Essential Duties:Daily maintenance of all Packout line equipmentProvides a daily review of work activities/personnel status and PM results to the CPO Manager and Maintenance team with updates for substantial issues (any event that might affect production, or product quality) throughout the day.Reviews manufacturer’s service manuals, Blount Fine Foods equipment usage schedules, and records of maintenance problems to determine the optimum frequency of preventative maintenance.Repair of any breakdowns during normal production.Regularly checks production schedules and confers with other departments, managers, and staff to determine when planned maintenance least interferes with operations.Proactive line adjustments, to prevent lost processing time.Continuous equipment Preventative Maintenance, to eliminate or minimize future processing “downtime”Ability to learn all aspect of processing line equipment, with the ability to teach others key primary adjustmentsAbility to identify product variation to set up machinery in a timely manner.Ensure an optimal level of spare parts and equipment are kept in stock to minimize unscheduled operations downtime, while minimizing cost of inventory.Proactive approach to mitigate process lost time between production runs.Promotes a safe working environment for self as well as coworkersAssists in training and development of the machine operators and line technicians for equipment and process controls operation.Ability to assist Maintenance team in mechanical breakdowns.Assist Maintenance team with modifications/fabrications to machine parts to maintain equipment performance and safety.Assist in evaluating manufacturing processes, suggest alternative improvements to equipment that improve and reduce repetitive downtime occurrences.Evaluate and report equipment condition.
