Job Title: Packaging Technician

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Packaging Technicians for various shifts: The Packaging Technician will apply Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and customer requirements in all areas of responsibility. This role requires adherence to safety regulations and the performance of manual or automated assembly, manufacturing, filling, packaging, and labeling of pharmaceutical products to ensure the highest quality standards.

Pay and Shift:2nd Shift (3:15 PM to 11:15 PM) -$18.703rd Shift (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM) -$19.55

ResponsibilitiesApply Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and customer requirements.Comply with all safety regulations and conduct all activities in a safe, efficient manner.Perform manual or automated assembly, manufacturing, filling, packaging, and labeling of pharmaceutical products.Act as the primary performer of in-process and AQL inspections.Execute computer-related tasks to perform necessary duties.Participate in the start-up and closure of packaging jobs.Clean packaging rooms and machinery according to SOPs and GMP.Ensure adherence to quality standards during assembly, filling, packaging, and labeling of pharmaceutical products.Accept or reject in-process clinical supplies and drug products.Perform computer-related tasks for signing into a job, in-process actions, and data entry.Conduct counts of components and drug products.Essential SkillsAssemblyGood Manufacturing Practices (GMP)LabelingCleanroom proceduresQuality inspectionAbility to perform repetitive tasks with both handsMathematical skills (counting, adding, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages)Physical requirements (standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, squatting, reaching above shoulder level)Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to work in various environments including Primary, Secondary, refrigerated (2 to 8° C), and Freezer (-20° C) environments (up to 80% of the day in a freezer if needed)Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) CertificationComfortable working in a clean room environment requiring gowning

Work Environment

The work environment includes primary, secondary, refrigerated (2 to 8° C), and freezer (-20° C) conditions. Up to 80% of the day could be spent in a freezer if needed. Employees must be comfortable working in a clean room environment that requires gowning. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including filtering face masks, PAPR, N-95 masks, half face masks, and safety glasses is required.

Additional compensation is provided for working in PAPR/Refrigerator ($2 extra per hour) and Freezer ($3 extra per hour) environments.
