Job Title: Packaging Technician

Job Description

As a Packaging Technician, you will be responsible for loading boxes and cans, running and troubleshooting machinery, and performing visual inspections of packaging materials. You will ensure proper coding on all packaging, accurately complete process quality checks, and report any major defects or quality issues. Additionally, you will perform machine and beer line sanitation, communicate with warehouse personnel, and perform package format changeovers using hand tools.

ResponsibilitiesLoad boxes and cans, run and troubleshoot machinery.Perform visual inspection of boxes to ensure proper box/tray and acceptable graphics.Verify proper coding on bottles, cans, boxes/trays, and kegs.Accurately fill out process quality checks and report major defects or quality issues.Perform machine and beer line sanitation and clean in place (CIP) operations.Communicate with warehouse personnel about goods needing to be returned to inventory.Perform package format changeovers using hand tools on equipment and production lines.Load corrugate, labels, bottles/cans/kegs, carriers, etc. into appropriate machines.Monitor material flow into machines and clear jams as necessary.
Essential SkillsExperience operating/troubleshooting machinery, preferably packaging machinery.Ability to navigate computer programs to input data from production runs.Previous bottle, can, or keg filling experience preferred.Previous forklift experience preferred.Must be at least 21 years old.Basic computer skills - knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
