Scope
The Packaging & Technology Manager role is the leader of a team of skilled Technical Engineers focused on innovation, development and continuous improvement of CooperVision strategic packaging technologies and secondary packaging platforms. This position serves as the Technology Lead for the local Packaging Operation, accountable for the introduction of equipment in support of the Global Packaging technology roadmap.
Job Summary – What to expect:
In this position, you will use lean and six sigma knowledge to drive forward technical solutions in Secondary Packaging and Distribution (where appropriate). You will manage the execution of highly complex packaging related projects through their Life Cycle, including (but not limited to) Capacity expansion, Equipment and/or Process Development, Integration of one or several major equipment (automation/high volume) within an existing product, development of new product/process.
You will be accountable for the delivery of advanced automation technology to support the business requirements of Global Packaging and Distribution Operations (where appropriate). Responsible for management, co-ordination, and completion of projects by performing a variety of tasks that include setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring progress and summarizing results while supporting global regulatory requirements and process/design improvements while identifying risks, issues and developing resolutions. Utilize Project Management knowledge to lead technical team in the implementation of key projects while managing a team of Project Managers and Engineers.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Work Environment
Normal office environment. Ability to perform light to medium physical work and standing for long periods of time, if required depending on the task. Travel to other global sites when required. To support the 24/7 business, may require employee to attend sites outside standard working hours.Experience
8 - 10 years of packaging related work experience in a regulated industry, preferably in both high and low volume mix model production. Minimum of 5 years project management experience. Experience working in a global organization and with geographically dispersed colleagues and stakeholders. 2 – 5 years leadership experience required with demonstrated ability to lead others, specifically technical and project teams.Education
Bachelor’s degree in an industrial engineering field required. Master’s degree is a plus. Experience in an Engineering and Project Management role. Project management certificate a plus. Six sigma and lean certifications are a plus.What we offer:
