The Greenville (GREE) Production Department is committed to providing high quality products and service that meet our customer’s expectations. The production area is the hub of our operations and rely upon the right balance of technology, teamwork and skilled employees to meet our customer needs. This entry-level position gives the foundation for building a solid career path within our organization. As a member of the GREE Production Team, you will report to the Shift Supervisor and will work closely with various team members to achieve a cohesive unit.

 

Follow all Company policies as outlined in HandbookFollow all Berry GMPs, Safety Absolutes and Safe Working PoliciesFollow all safety and food safety policiesChampion highest possible quality of goods in accordance with Quality Manual and Quality AbsolutesAdhere to guidelines for Stop Work; Workplace Observations; and Zero Pellet Loss programsKnow the location and function of the safety emergency stop buttons/cordsUnderstand blade safety as it related to utility knife and j-knifeAble to navigate QSI/CPro, Berry University and Self Services systems with assistance.Perform necessary housekeeping duties to support 6S and AIB standardsPerform other duties as assigned by the Shift SupervisorMust be able to complete essential job tasks in accordance with applicable Risk AssessmentsAble to run labels out of JDE and send to designated printerAble to maneuver the pallet-jack safely and efficientlyAble to cut cores correctly on either core-cutterAble to operate a big-joe, jib –lift, and hoists safely and efficiently Able to read tape measure correctly down to 1/16”Able to band skid correctly according to customer specificationsAble to weight rolls using lifting equipment and scales and record data legiblyAble to operate a calculator and basic computer/keyboard functionsAble to operate stretch wrapper safely and efficientlyKnow the different shaft color meanings for pinch points and lifting limitsLeave adequate packaging & supplies for oncoming crew (at least two hrs. into next shift)Flexible to work in any machineComplete other assigned (compliance) courses in My DevelopmentAble to read a Traveler and understand it’s components (critical specs: size, gauge, roll footage, packaging and all pertinent notes in body of Traveler)Able to fill out tally sheet completely and legibly and/or enter data electronicallyAble to load and align core on the shaftsAble to perform basic quality checks like size, gauge, and camber checksAble to use core checkerAble to cycle the winder safely and efficientlyAble to efficiently segregate scrap

 

Qualifications High School diploma, GED, or equivalent training desiredPrevious experience in a manufacturing facility desiredAbility to work in a team-oriented environmentMechanical knowledge desiredPossess basic computer skills Possess basic mathematical skillsAble to lift up to 50 pounds; able to bend and reach overhead; required to stand and/or walk constantly for up to 12 hrs.
