PACS Administrator's role is to perform all related activities for supporting the organization's Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) for multiple locations in the So California service area. This includes preparing images for digital archiving and assuring the quality control of medical diagnostic images and files. Responsible for supporting the Enterprise PACS Team in monitoring, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading PACS associated hardware and software while ensuring its optimal performance. Manages multiple tasks and troubleshoots a variety of issues on a daily basis, including off site support for Radiologists.

Required Qualifications:
3 years experience in PACS, diagnostic workstation station technology or information technology2 yearsExperience setting up and customizing local workstations.Experience working on and updating 3D workstations (Siemens and GE).Excellent technical knowledge of image capture and archiving technologies.Hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting experience with radiology applications.Previous exposure working in a large PACS environment.Good knowledge of current network protocols, data transfer systems, including TCP/IP, DICOM, HL7, etc.PACS equipment support.Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and healthcare guidelines.Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories.Strong knowledge of applicable document retention (ISO 9001) and copyright laws.Familiarity with project management techniques and procedures.High understanding of confidentiality and data privacy laws, as well as federal legislations such as HIPAA.Understanding of organizations goals and objectives.Must have a customer service mindset.Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Radiology TechnologyUpon hire: Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP) from the American Board of Imaging Informatics (ABII) or equivalent, License in Imaging Technology (Radiology, Ultrasound, MRI, etc.) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), Certifications in PACS (CPSA, CPIA, CPSM, MCITP)Why Join Providence?
