PACS Sales Engineer, Northeast

 

 

Summary 

HID Global is looking for a new sales engineer to play a key role within the sales team! As part of our team you will work with regional sales and business development managers in the territory to promote HID PACS products and services. As our Sales Engineer, you are responsible for interacting with clients to understand their needs and priorities and matching those priorities with our PACS offers. As a sales engineer, you posseses excellent communication skills, articulate complex technical information concisely and foster impactful customer relationship. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•    Acting as the Sales team's technical encyclopedia during the sale cycle, representing the technical aspects of how the product solves specific customer problems.
•    Assisting our customers, partners, and internal sales force with all aspects of a sale focusing on the technical aspects of the HID PACS Solution and Services.
•    Providing timely assistance responses to create technically sound solutions, while educating our customers, thus increasing the probability of success, and decreasing the time to success.
•    Training partners and end users on HID-specific technologies and relevant industry topics such as OSDP, IOT, MQTT, GDPR, PII, etc.
•    Working during a sales cycle to qualify, position, prove and transition solutions.
•    Providing regular field feedback to the product marketing and product management teams.

 

Qualifications

•    Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and capable of interfacing with numerous internal cross-functional groups.
•    Enjoys working on a remote team with multiple account managers, partners, and customers throughout the region.

•    Understanding of PACS system and network components such as:
o    Directory services (Active Directory, LDAP, X.500);
o    Databases (Microsoft SQL and/or Oracle 10g, 11i);
o    Network protocols (SSL/TLS, VPN, SAML, RADIUS);
o    Network security (Firewalls, DMZ, VPN);
o    Physical Access Control protocol experience, such as OSDP.
•    Open to Travel and fieldwork up to 50%, including international travel may be required. Therefore, employee must possess, or be able to acquire a valid passport.


Education and/or Experience          
•    Bachelor of Science Degree or 2 years of Technical Support or Engineering experience highly preferred.
•    5 years of Technical or Presales experience supporting an Physical Access Control Technology/Solution desired.
•    ASIS PSP and CISSP certified preferred.

 

Language Skills                   
•    Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
•    Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.        

 

Computer Skills     
•    Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
•    Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.

•    Self-motivated, willingness to ‘roll up sleeves’ and aid other departments in the company when required (support, professional services, product marketing, product management, etc.)
•    Ability to listen and understand the overall goals of a customer, and how best to design a solution that will work in large scale diverse environment.
•    Posses the sense of urgency and professionalism in response to customer inquiries.
 

The wage range for this role considers a broad scope of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At HID, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The base salary in the United States is $98,887 to $108,000. The OTE is up to $135,000.
