Looking for an RN to join our busy PACU unit. The candidate would have critical care experience preferred. The interested candidate will be caring for patients in the 1st and 2nd Phases of Recovering patients post OR procedure. You will work collaberatively with the surgical tech, anesthsia department as well as other divsions of Perioperative Services.

Patient Population:

Patients of all ages, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, during the immediate post-anesthesia period.

Summary

Identifies the physiologic changes induced by general, regional, and local anesthesia and uses this information to plan appropriate nursing care. Identifies the physiologic changes induced by surgery and uses this information to plan appropriate nursing care. Identifies the pathophysiology of trauma, and uses this information to plan appropriate nursing care. Performs a comprehensive pain assessment. assignment of PAR Score airway management administration of oxygen assistance during administration of nerve blocks recognition of the symptoms of Horner' s Syndrome and implementation of corrective actions

Experience

At least 1 year of Critical Care Experience This is the recommendation from ASPAN standards.

Experiance with care for Critical Care/ICU patients.
