Job Summary/Overview Paint ETA rail, steel beams and miscellaneous small parts in a variety of colors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reads Shop orders and blueprints to determine painting needs. Stencil and sticker required items with proper information as required on shop order. Check all assembles for dimensional accuracy, color and visually check welds. Operational knowledge of air assist spray system. Knowledge of mixing and thinning paint. Capable of safe material handling. Keep spray booth clean and free of paint waste. Dispose of paint waste in proper manner. Replace filters & clean stack monthly. Order and maintain paint and personal safety equipment inventory. Load and unload paint carts. Package rail as needed. Other duties as assigned. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret shop orders, blue prints and technical procedures. • Mathematical Skills: Proficient with basic mathematical concepts. • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concept variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. • Computer Skills: Knowledge of Windows based software. • Comply with company rules, policies and safety/environmental regulations. Required Qualifications • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 6+ months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
