The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Qualified Painters to join our growing BGIS team in Invercargill. This hands-on role will see you completing a variety of planned and reactive maintenance tasks across key BGIS contracts. You’ll be part of a professional team delivering high-quality workmanship while upholding health, safety, and client satisfaction standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform high-quality painting, finishing, and surface preparation works across residential and commercial properties Complete both planned maintenance and reactive tasks, including home modifications, modernisations, and refurbishments Ensure all work complies with safety requirements, including Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Accurately manage work orders and job documentation using an iPad-based system Maintain a professional standard when working in client-occupied premises

What You’ll Bring

New Zealand Certificate in Painting & Decorating (or equivalent recognised qualification) Proven experience in residential or commercial painting and decorating A strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines Competency using digital systems or mobile apps for job tracking and reporting Full (Class 1) New Zealand Driver Licence and reliable transport
