Let's talk! Job Summary The paint team preps products for paint using power and air tools daily. Must be able to read, interpret, and understand detailed design prints. Able to work in a steel fabrication shop environment daily. Must be a team player, able to easily interact with others, and have a solid work ethic. Qualifications + Load and unload parts or products onto fixtures. + Prepare parts for coating by spraying off debris. + Operate all coating equipment including paint guns, hoppers, and booth collection systems. + Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects. + Determine paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality with visual inspections or using proper equipment. + Bake painted parts at appropriate temperatures within time limitations. + Knowledge of thermosetting resin coatings, washes, and pretreatments. + Ensure all painted components meet established goals for quality and the customer’s order. + Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with the company’s procedures and regulations. Required Skills and Experience + Able to pass a PFT & FIT Test, this job requires wearing a respirator at times. + Individuals must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. + Must have an ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, and cost. + Highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently but also performs well within teams or work groups Additional Skills and Experience + One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
