Job Overview Under direction of the Senior Construction Supervisor and/or Facility Supervisor, the Painter will provide daily maintenance operation and activities for all assigned facilities/areas including new construction/renovations. The incumbent receives and evaluates work orders and requests, investigates request or problems where appropriate, and establishes priorities. The incumbent must professionally interact with contractors, vendors, employees and our customer to maintain effective working relationships to meet department objectives. Work Model: Onsite Responsibilities Essential Duties & Job Functions: Perform and complete the full variety of painting related tasks. Maintain, paint, and redecorate walls, woodwork and fixtures. Understand and utilize knowledge of surface peculiarities and types of paints required for different applications. Prepare surfaces for painting. This may include removing old finish or placing putty or filler in nail holes and interstices. Apply paint with spray gun, or brush, or roller. Mix colors, oils, and other paint ingredients to obtain proper color or consistency. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Mandatory: High school graduate or equivalent GED. Two (2) years’ experience as a commercial or residential painter. Ability to pass pre-hire background and drug screen. U.S. Citizen. Ability to obtain and maintain the required intelligence community level clearance. Valid state driver’s license.
