Job Overview:

Apply paint, stain and other finishes and wall covering to decorate and protect interior and exterior surfaces, walls, woodwork, fixtures, machines, building, of hospital facilities as scheduled.

Qualifications:

Required:

High School Diploma, Technical School, graduate or equivalent. Sufficient experience through painting apprenticeship and broad experience to qualify as a painterThree to 5 years as a painter

Licenses:

Required

Valid New Jersey Drivers License

Scheduling Requirement:

Full-TimeDays 40 Hours per week

Essential Functions:

Leads all Paint and finishing work performed and shall meet or exceed codes and/or standards for the industry and manufacturers specifications must be met All work performed shall meet or exceed codes and/or standards for the industry and manufacturers specifications must be met. Normal, acceptable methods for preparation, and finishing of wall and other surfaces shall be evident at all times.Performs skilled tasks such as repairs to flooring, walls and ceilings, and related equipment which is not limited to the following and in the priority instructed by Supervision. Spreads protecting cloths over furniture and floors.Prepares surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, brushing, or burning, etc.,.Fills holes and cracks of plastered surfaces with plaster, putty, plastic wood, etc.Applies paint to surface with brush, roller, or spray gun.May mix and blend paint and stains to required color and consistency.May sand surfaces to obtain required finish.Required to maintain a clean, efficient, economical first class paint job.Applies vinyl and other wall coverings.Applies wall cove base where required.Responds immediately to alarms throughout the facility.
