Painter
Community Health Systems
**Job Summary** : Performs a variety of duties related to the painting and repair of buildings and equipment, including but not limited to the painting of walls, interior and exterior fixtures and equipment, drywall finishing, and the repair and installation of various wall coverings. Provides assistance to department managers when choosing colors and wall covering's for their areas. Coordinates the use of and supervises outside painters. Orders, organizes and inventories all painting and finishing supplies and equipment.
**Minimum Requirements:**
Licensure: None
Experience: 3-4 years experience in drywall prep, covering, and final finish painting and repair
Education: High School diploma or GED
**Job Knowledge and Skills**
Demonstrate strong working knowledge of multidisciplinary job and work planning, as well as safe practice procedures, equipment or tool utilization, and applicable regulations.
Requires general working knowledge of established codes and regulations of hospital or business environment as they apply to facility protection, maintenance, or construction.
Demonstrates strong working knowledge of wall covering products.
Requires numerical skills to perform arithmetic operations in calculating quantities of materials needed as well as measuring, mixing, and cutting related materials.
Demonstrate the ability to perform wall and ceiling constructing from drywall prep to finishing using all materials available for such work.
