Responsibilities

Preparation of metal prior to primingApply primer and appropriate paint coating to large industrial metal structures using various paint application equipmentInspect finished metal structure for runs, chips and other deficiencies

Job Requirements:

A. Education & TrainingHigh school diploma or equivalent1+ year industrial paint experience is preferred

Technical Requirements

Previous experience in surface preparation and application of coatings/paintKnowledge of and ability to operate paint application equipment such as power washer, grinder, spray booth, spray guns, brush and rollerBasic understanding of the operation of hand tools and power toolsAbility to operate overhead cranesElectrostatic paint experience helpful

C. Physical Requirements

Performs climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing for long periods of time, pushing and/or pulling up to 100lbs of force occasionally with a cart, lifting, holding and griping objects, repetitive motions.

Working Conditions

This position is subject to working both inside and outside of the building, as well as being subject to noise, subject to fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases and poor ventilation that could affect the respiratory system of the skin as well as subject to oils.

Miscellaneous Requirements

Must pass pre-employment medical evaluation and be approved to wear a respirator.
